Friday, October 23

Today I walked with my BFF around 9.30 a.m. It was clear and 50°F, with a wind N 15 mph (definitely windy on the bridge!). We walked for an hour and a half for a total of 5.5 miles.

Some beautiful views today on the Walkway over the Hudson! I’m not sure what is going on, but they had put international flags up – very beautiful!

Wednesday, March 18

I went running later than normal today. I was awaiting a shipment via my aunt regarding some furniture, and I dashed out once that was received. It was about 3.45 p.m., mostly cloudy, 35 degrees F, with a wind chill of 21 degrees F. I dashed out in the same outfit as yesterday, which meant I really wasn’t dressed for the wind chill. Ah well!

I walked for 5 minutes;
ran for 21 minutes;
then walked home for a total of 30 minutes.

Run time: 21 minutes

Walk time: 9 minutes

The nice thing is that I caught myself striding down the slight incline toward the end of my run. Usually I’m slow and take smaller steps.

Tuesday, March 17

Yesterday I met up with some former colleagues/friends for lunch, and by the time I came home it was time for dinner! So, I didn’t run.

Today I almost didn’t go running because I feel really really tired, as in bone tired. I’m not sure why, but I did force myself to go out.

When I went out today at 3 p.m., it was partly sunny and 56 degrees F. However, it’s really mostly cloudy and 50 degrees F with a wind chill of 41 degrees F. I thought maybe I was wearing too many shirts (two long-sleeved shirts), but with the wind, it was just right.

I walked for 5 minutes;
ran for 21 minutes;
then walked home for a total of 31 minutes.

Run time: 21 minutes

Walk time: 10 minutes

We actually got up to 40 degrees F yesterday! I was able to chip some of the ice away, too! Today it’s 22 degrees F with a wind chill of 11 degrees F, so back to the cold weather.
