Saturday, September 12

Well, I went out around 2 p.m. It was overcast and 73°F, but unfortunately it started thundering and raining and I had to cut my run short.

I walked for 2 minutes,
and ran for 35.75 minutes.

Wednesday, April 8

I’m still having problems sleeping. I didn’t get to sleep until 2 a.m., and accidentally slept until 10 a.m. (I’m usually up around 8 to 9 a.m.). So I was going to take a nap, and perhaps not run (it’s rainy and cold!), but my BFF called because she needed a ride back home, as her car broke down. I realized as I was driving around town that it wasn’t raining too much, so I decided to go out for my run. Despite donning my rain jumper and baseball cap, it actually wasn’t raining by the time I went out.

I went out around 2.25 p.m. It was cloudy and 41 degrees F, with a wind chill of 35 degrees F.

I walked for 4 minutes;
ran for 24.5 minutes;
then walked home for a total of 32 minutes.

I found this photo, and it looks beautiful! Unfortunately I don’t know where it was taken.

Interestingly, during the beautiful day yesterday I saw groups of Vassar College kids outside running. Fair weather runners! LOL Today I saw one (1) – a girl, of course, because we’re tough! LOL 😉

Oh, and I can finally say that our yard is FREE OF SNOW!! Yeehaw!

Thursday, March 26

The running gods must have been smiling at me, because when I went out, it wasn’t raining. (We’re having intermittent rain today.) It began again after 20+ minutes into my run.

I went out around 1.20 p.m. It was cloudy and 47 degrees F, with a humidity of 86% and some rain.

I walked for 5 minutes;
ran for 22 minutes;
then walked home for a total of 30.5 minutes.

Run time: 22 minutes

Walk time: 8.5 minutes

The running has been going really well, although I got really tired in the middle of my run for some reason. I usually concentrate on my breathing as my mantra if something like that happens.

Saturday, December 6

Well, I wasn’t sure I was going to go out as it’s raining. But I persevered, because there’s the potential for bad weather for 2 days next week. Yay me!

I went out around 3.30 p.m. It was rainy and 40 to 42 degrees.

I walked for 8 minutes;
ran for 2.25 minutes; walked for 2.25 minutes;

Monday, July 7

I went running around 6.20 p.m. It was cloudy and 88 degrees F. It soon began to pour (when I was about 8 minutes into my routine), and now it is 77 degrees F with humidity of 78% and a dewpoint of 71 degrees F. It’s beginning to thunder.

In my haste to get out, I only looked at the “time until thunderstorm approaches” vs. “time it was going to rain.” But it’s so humid that it was nice to run in the rain!

I walked for 5 minutes;
ran for 4.25 minutes; walked for 1 minute;
ran for 4.25 minutes; walked for 1.5 minutes;
ran for 4.25 minutes; walked for 1 minute;

It is now thundering in earnest and I am comforting the dog! Happy Monday!

The last of the humidity and rain finally moved out around midday, and the sun broke through. Hurrah! This made for some nice running! I did my hilly route today (which really isn’t very hilly–just one long hill going up).
