The amount of running I’m doing is directly proportional to the need to use the bathroom facilities toward the end of my run. That being said, it’s always easier to run when you’re on a flat island!

I met with the doctor today and have good news – a diagnosis! The colonoscopy had revealed areas of inflammation, so biopsies were taken. The thought was that it might be colitis. When I came home that day, I looked it up the various types of colitis on the Mayo Clinic web site, and one of them listed most of my symptoms. Today, the doctor confirmed it – I have microscopic colitis. I’m so happy to have an answer finally! One of the medications I’m taking is already helping, and I’ll be picking up another one tonight.
