So yesterday, I went kayaking in the afternoon. (Needless to say, I didn’t run.) We left from Norrie Point Boat Launch and kayaked north on the Hudson River to the Mills Mansion. Round trip was 4.85 miles. I got to use one of the “real” kayaks, too! Not as much arm power involved! LOL
Fun fact about the mansion: Odgen Mills was so wealthy that when the railroad tracks were being built on the east bank of the Hudson River, he told the builders that they could build the tracks BEHIND his house, thank you very much! (Most, if not all, of the mansions have tracks between the house and the river.) The home has a wonderful back yard which reaches to the Hudson River and is absolutely spectacular.
I went out around 5.10 p.m. It was mostly sunny and 78°F, with a humidity of 49 percent, a dew point of 57°F, and a heat index of 79°F.
I walked for 2 minutes,
ran for 37.5 minutes,
then walked back for a total of 41.5 minutes.
Run time: 37.5 minutes
Walk time: 4 minutes
