Monday, June 15

I went out around 1.20 p.m. I figured it would be an easy run because of the weather, but it wasn’t. It was cloudy and 73°F, with a humidity of 91 percent, a dew point of 70°F, and a heat index of 70°F.

I walked for 3 minutes;
ran for 31 minutes;
then walked home for a total of 37.5 minutes.

Run time: 31 minutes

Walk time: 6.5 minutes

I hope you don’t think this is morbid, but Saturday I took a picture of the view from the cemetery. It was really quite something.

Pok Rural Cemetery

The water you see in the background is the Hudson River. This land was specifically bought for use as a cemetery by Matthew Vassar, who founded Vassar College. Margaret Hamilton (the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz) was cremated here, and some of the Vassars, as well as the Smith Brothers (of the Smith Brothers Cough Drops), have been buried here.
