In the words of I Refuse to Follow Your Blog‘s blogger, my weekend was, in one word, pathetic.

I was woken up by my husband at 3.30 a.m. Saturday morning. “The dog needs to go out,” he told me. I dutifully took the dog out, and stumbled back to bed. But something wasn’t right. I smelled a weird smell. Frankly, I thought one of the cats had farted (yes, that’s a thing), but it didn’t go away. I finally turned the light on and found a big pile of dog doodoo in the spare bedroom.

By the time I’d cleaned it up, I was tired but awake, so I went downstairs and watched TV while sleeping intermittently. The poor girl had to go out again in two hours, and then at 8 a.m. I called the vet. She’s now on a diet of Hill’s Science Diet I/D canned food and some antibiotics.

Saturday was cold (not as cold as February, of course!), snowy, and blustery, so I did not go out running. I did, however, do Day 2 of Yoga with Adriene (I did Day 1 on Friday).

We ended up going out Saturday night, so by the time I got to bed, it was late (midnight or so). Then I had to get up at 7 a.m. for church (I sing in our music ministry). It was still cold on Sunday, so I spent most of the day sleeping, and not running or doing yoga. In fact, I had gone grocery shopping and gotten gluten-free donuts, which are nothing like REAL wheat donuts – they are frozen, and you have to microwave them to get them soft. I had three of them by 1 p.m. I felt like The Blerch.

Today I went out around 1.30 p.m. it was mostly cloudy and 49 degrees F.

I went a different route today, which really didn’t work out because I had to run extra to make up for the shortage for which I didn’t account.

Anyways:

I walked for 5 minutes;
ran for 22 minutes;
then walked home for a total of 30 minutes.

Run time: 22 minutes

Walk time: 8 minutes

When I cool down, I’ll try Day 3 of Yoga with Adriene.

  1. Ooh perfect timing with the link to Yoga! I’ve been running the past 6 months but after waking at 4am I’m just too tired to go out and was thinking a bit of Yoga would be perfect. Thanks!
