Sunday, January 4

First of all, I need to give a shout-out to my neighbor, who fixed our snow blower. Yeehaw! The snow blower is a war horse, but sadly broke down during the 2014 Valentine’s Day snowstorm extravaganza.

We had some snow yesterday (an inch), but given the condition of the roads, you would have thought it was a foot. I went to a trail (not on my “trails” page) that parallels a golf course. It’s close by and usually plowed.

I went out around 2.30 p.m. Here are the conditions as reported by The Weather Channel:

Weather conditions 2015.01 04

I wore less than what I usually wear for 39 degrees F, and it was too much! The humidity is just stifling.

Here is a picture at the onset of my exercise routine:

So although we didn’t get much snow, it was just miserable out.

I walked for 6 minutes;
ran for 3.75 minutes; walked for 1.25 minutes;
ran for 3.75 minutes; walked for 1.25 minutes;
ran for 3.75 minutes; walked for 1.25 minutes;
ran for 3.75 minutes;
then walked back to my car for a total of 30 minutes.

Run time: 15 minutes

Walk time: 15 minutes

Normally I don’t like to go out on such a visible trail as this (I’m such an introvert!), but I’d rather be safe than sorry.
